suPAR as a prognostic biomarker in the acute care setting

A simple suPAR measurement has similar or better predictive value of mortality than SOFA score (sequential organ failure assessment score), a sepsis mortality risk algorithm including multiple laboratory and clinical measures. This and other aspects of the use of suPAR in an acute care setting was discussed at the 2nd International suPAR symposium in Copenhagen, Denmark 2011
